Braided packings come in a full range of materials. Natural packings like flax, are geared for just water applications. and 200F .   Grafoil ® is an ideal braided packing for high temperatures (1200F (in steam)). PTFE ® should be used in food applications or chemical service applications up to 450F. Synthetic braided packings are generally a low cost general service product used in a wide range of applications. The most common braided packing today is GFO. If you need a quality braided packing we have it.   We stock braided packings in Grafoil, PTFE, Kevlar, GFO, pump packing or valve stem packing. We will be happy to recommend a braided packing for your specific application.
